You and I probably have this one thing in common - We would NOT want to wear a lampshade as a garment. Do you have a lampshade that is showing wear like an old favorite pair of jeans? Is your lampshade an unusual shape?
You may even have a perfectly great lampshade but would like to add an accent color to a room to give it a new look. You might not have to look further then your closet or a friend's closet!
I've made this clear on other post - I can NOT sew. I will always look for a non sew approach! This is no different. This is not my original idea but one I found off pintrest and on another's blog.
This isn't even my sparkly tank top! I went to goodwill and spotted this for under 3.00. You can use a sweater and the possibilities and colors are endless!
As you can see my lampshade was showing imperfection. This lamp was a goodwill find from about 3 weeks ago. I had originally thought about stenciling on it but I still had a seam problem.
This picture you can see how I placed the top on the shade. I will cut the lower half off and hot glue the top to the shade.
